Designer - Build and Manage Integrations
The power-house that is Statelake Designer - the executable module that allows you to create, configure and maintain the configurations which describe the data sources and destinations, mapping rules, and other aspects of the processes, as well as test the running of actions.
An Action defines a runnable data processing step by combining the Connection, Definition, and Map components within your configuration for the input, output, and mapping involved in that process. An Action also defines an execution profile so that the processing can run automatically e.g. every 30 minutes.
Each Designer session connects to only one Configuration at a time, so that you can create, modify, and run the components only within that Configuration. To use Designer with a different Configuration the current session must be closed and a new one opened.
Alternatively, it is possible, and quite common, to have multiple Designer sessions open at the same time, with each one connected to one Configuration.
The cornerstone of the Designer window is the navigation or structure tree, which is used to manage the modules that comprise each Statelake Configuration. When navigating through the branches of this tree, only a single click is required to open the selected module.
Just as the Designer window can be re-sized with ease, the tree itself can easily be re-sized by dragging the right‑hand boundary line.
The Status Bar runs along the very bottom of the Designer window, and displays basic information such as the Configuration name, the name of the Database and Configuration Database Server that you are connected to, and the status if your computer internet connection.
Running Designer
To open Designer, simply select the Run button on the Designer option within the Manager window.
The Designer window will prompt you for the name of the configuration that you wish to open.
It is that simple.
To close Designer at this initial window, select Cancel.
